John Y. Yamano is Of Counsel to McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon LLP, practicing in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. His work encompasses commercial litigation, appellate practice, and products liability, personal injury, and insurance defense matters.
Admitted in California in 1984 and in Hawaii in 1985, John has practiced in Hawaii for four decades and is admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court.
He has been a frequent lecturer and faculty member on trial practice and civil litigation topics, teaching for the American Bar Association, the Hawaii Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Lorman Education Services, and the State of Hawaii Judicial Conference, among others. He has also served on the State of Hawaii Committee on Pattern Civil Jury Instructions.
